报告人简介：Dr Haitao Ye is currently Reader in Electronic Engineering and Group Leader of Nanotechnology Science Group at Aston University. He obtained his PhD from University College London and has over 16 years of research and industrial experience in the field of diamond and related materials, more specifically diamond growth and characterisation, surface modification, device fabrication and characterisation. His recent research has been centred on the multiferroic thin films for memory devices and carbon based nanomaterials for energy applications. He was an industrial research fellow at NTT (Japan) and a research fellow / senior research fellow at London Centre for Nanotechnology, a joint venture between Imperial College and University College London. His research work has been supported by EPSRC, European Union (FW7, Horizon2020), Royal Society, Royal Academy of Engineering, British Council and industry.

报告内容简述：Diamond is an ultimate semiconducting material of promise due to its superior physical, chemical and electronic properties over conventional semiconductors. Diamond Electronics is a potentially disruptive technology in the medium- to long-term with specific applications in high power, high temperature and high frequency devices. This talk reviews the present status and future prospects of thin film diamond growth and diamond based power devices. The application of nanodiamond particles for cold water cleaning will be highlighted.
