报告主题：生物质可再生能源的研究和教育

讲座内容：

   为了让地球持续支持人类的生活，必须实现全球可持续发展的社会、经济和环境系统，以满足目前人类需要的同时又不损害后代的资源，可再生能源作为重要的能源来源，为世界减少对石化燃料的依赖性，具有很大的潜力，其中生物质是世界上可再生能源的主要来源。

   本讲座将介绍伊利诺斯东部清洁能源研究与教育中心的可再生能源的研究情况，包括生物质气化，资源的可持续发展，生态系统，固体废物利用，可再生能源教育和社区合作等。

报告人简介：美国东伊利渃斯大学能源研究教育中心主任刘平教授

Professor Liu Ping，with his bachelor degree in Electro-mechanical Engineering at Nanchang University, was awarded Ph.D. at Iowa State University, Ames, 1991.  And then he earned Professional Engineer (PE) in Mechanical Engineering at Illinois, and was appointed to be the Director of the Center for Clean Energy Research and Education Eastern Illinois University. His current research interests are mainly focused on Materials tribology, Composite materials and processing, Finite element micromechanics, Plastics recycling,  Machining effect on polymersm, Manufacturing information systems, Database technology and Enterprise systems.
