7月3日上午，澳大利亚格里菲斯大学李勤教授应邀来我院做了题为“Photoactive Nanocarbons for Sensing, Water Purification and Nanomedicine”的学术报告。学院相关专业师生参加了此次学术报告。

会上，陶新永教授首先介绍了李勤教授的学术经历、科研领域和学术成果，对李勤教授来院进行学术交流表示热烈欢迎。报告中，李勤教授结合自己的研究领域，阐述了碳量子点在医学、环境、光学等方面的应用。同时介绍了其课题组在碳纳米材料合成、修饰和表征方面的研究进展，使其在纳米传感器、净水设备、热处理剂和添加剂等领域显示出了强大的潜在应用。

报告结束后，李勤教授与参会师生进行了热烈的学术讨论和交流，并对青年教师和研究生的科研方向选择、研究方法等方面给予了很多宝贵的建议和指导。

A/Prof. Qin Li is a nanotechnology scientist and chemical engineer. Environmental pollution and climate change have been the central motivation of her research activities, which encompass the areas of environmental sensing, novel remediation technology, green production technologies and biomedicine through a focused effort on developing novel nanomaterials and nanotechnologies. She has internationally-recognized expertise on carbon nanodots, graphene nanomaterials and colloidal photonic crystals. Dr. Li obtained her PhD at the Department of Chemical Engineering, the University of Queensland in 2002. She was a Marie Curie International Incoming Fellow hosted by the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Germany from 2006 - 2009. A/Prof. Li has edited one book and co-authored 6 book chapters, more than 90 journal papers and 4 patents with an H-index of 31.
